Know How To Get Rs 7 Lakh From Government To Open Pradhan Mantri Jan Aushadhi Store

The Modi government dedicated 7,500 Jan Aushadhi Kendra on the occasion of Jan Aushadhi Divas on March 9. The central government aims to increase the number of public medicine centres to 10,000 by the end of the year.

Under the Pradhan Mantri Jan Aushadhi scheme, the central government is providing medicine to the people at a cheaper price.

The central government has been encouraging people to open Pradhan Matri Jan Aushadhi centres in different parts of the country. And the government also provides investment funds for opening the medicine store.

If you want to open a new Jan Aushadhi centre in India, then you can get an incentive of up to Rs 7 lakhs from the government.

Here is how much people are earning and how much the government is giving for the scheme:

If you open a new public medicine centre, the Modi government is giving an incentive of up to Rs 5 lakh. But if a person opens a medicine centre in any aspiring district will get another Rs 2 lakh, i.e. Rs 4 lakh.

But if a woman, adisabled person, a Scheduled Caste, or Scheduled Tribe person opens a Jan Aushadhi centre then they can get an incentive of Rs 7 lakh.

If a woman, a disabled person, a Scheduled Caste or Scheduled Tribe person opens a public medicine center, the Modi government will get an incentive of Rs 4 lakh. Previously, the incentive amount was Rs 2.5 lakh.

Apart from this, the government is also providing Rs 1.5 lakh to each center for furniture and other essential items and Rs 50,000 for the billing systems, computers and printers.

Jan Aushadhi centres owner’s get a 20 percent commission on the sales of drugs and another 15 percent incentive on monthly sales of the drugs.

The government has made three tiers for persons wanting to open the Jan Aushadhi center.

The first tier any person including unemployed pharmacist doctor or retired medical worker can open a Jan Aushadhi centre.

In the second tier, trusts, NGOs, private hospitals, SHG groups are eligible to open a Jan Aushadhi centre, and in the third category, agencies nominated by the state government can open a Jan Aushadhi centre.

If you want to open a Jan Aushadhi center, you need to posses a retail drug license in the name of a drugstore.

To get the license you have to visit the http://janaushadhi.gov.in/online_registration.aspx and download the application form. Then you have to pay an application fee of 5,000 while submitting the application. Earlier, the government did not charge a fee to apply.

The Modi government launched the public medicine scheme in 2015. With this scheme, people get medicine at a 60 percent cheaper price than other pharmacies.
