Japanese Baba Vanga aka Ryo Tatsuki’s predictions on July tsunami comes true, Internet dumstruck

Though tsunami struck on a different date, people draw connections between the happenings and the Japan Baba Vanga's predictions.

The Japanese Manga artist Ryo Tatsuki aka New Baba Vanga had predicted a tsunami in the Japan in 1999. She had written it in her manga “The Future I Saw” (Mita Mirai) and predicted that the tsunami will strike southern Japan on July 5, 2025.

Though the tsunami struck on a different date, but people could not help but draw connections between the happenings and the predictions. The disaster occurred with a delay of just 25 days.

She had predicted that this July tsunami in Japan would be three times stronger than the one that stuck in 2011.

Social media is buzzing that many of the New Baba Vanga’s predictions have come true over the years. It had earlier mentioned incidents like deaths of Princess Diana, Covid-19 pandemic, the 2011 earthquake and tsunami in Japan.

Netizens have drawn many similarities and an online debate has gained traction. However, experts opine otherwise and have rejected the claims. They said that there is no scientific evidence and that earthquakes are impossible to be predicted in advance.

Similarly, the Japanese authorities have also rejected these calling it baseless and asked the people not to get believe it.
