New Delhi: Chhattisgarh to offer MBBS course in Hindi which will be applicable from current academic session. After Madhya Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Bihar now Chhattisgarh has decided to offer MMBS course in Hindi from this session onwards. State chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai has confirmed the news.

Reportedly there was a press gathering at CM Vishnu Deo Sai’s residence on the occasion of Hindi Diwas. He announced this news while conversing with reporters. He said PM Narendra Modi promised to provide medical education in Hindi language during a rally in Uttar Pradesh back in 2022. He is keeping his promise and our government is implementing the plan. This initiative will be helpful to students who belongs to Hindi medium schools of rural areas and faces difficulties in understanding English. This is going to help them understand the subject deeply with their regional language.

The motive behind the ambitious project is to increase accessibility to medical education regardless of language and make healthcare more exclusive. Madhya Pradesh was the first state in the country  to offer medical course in Hindi language. Union Home Minister Amit Shah unveiled the MBBS course books in Hindi as a part of the state government to impart medical education in the language.

Uttarakhand became second state to welcome such initiative. Following that Bihar government had also decided to offer Bachelor of Medicine, and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) courses in Hindi which will follow the syllabus of AIIMS Delhi for students qualified NEET UG 2024 exam.
