Here’s how you can order Aadhaar PVC cards for all family members using one mobile number

The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) recently introduced a new service called “Aadhaar PVC Card”. This service will let Aadhaar holders to have their Aadhaar details printed on a PVC card by paying a nominal fee. As per UIDAI, a single person can make the PVC Aadhaar cards for all members of a family using a single phone number.

Aadhaar is a 12-digit identification number issued by the UIDAI to all Indian residents. UIDAI announced the launch of the Aadhaar PVC cards on Twitter through a post. The posts reads, “You can use any mobile number to receive OTP for authentication, regardless of the registered mobile number with your Aadhaar. So, one person can order Aadhaar PVC cards online for the whole family.”

That means users can now receive OTP for authentication from any mobile number, even if it is not the mobile number that is registered with Aadhaar. You will need to pay an fee of Rs 50, which is inclusive of GST & speed post charges, to order an PVC Adhaar card.

“Aadhaar PVC Card is is the latest form of Aadhaar introduced by UIDAI. Other than being easy to carry and durable, the PVC-based Aadhaar Card has a digitally signed secure QR code with photograph and demographic details with multiple security features, ” said UIDAI website.

This Card contains various security features like Secure QR Code, Hologram, Micro text, Ghost image, Issue Date & Print Date, Guilloche Pattern, Embossed Aadhaar Logo.

How to order Aadhaar PVC card using non-registered or alternate mobile number

Step 1: Go to https://uidai.gov.in or https://resident.uidai.gov.in.
Step 2: Click on ‘Order Aadhaar Card Service’ option, which can be fund under ‘My Aadhaar tab’.
Step 3: Enter 12 digit Aadhaar Number (UID) or 16 digit Virtual Identification Number (VID) or 28 digits Enrollment ID.
Step 4: Enter the Captch code.
Step 5: If you do not have a registered mobile number, tick the box,” My mobile number is not registered”.
Step 6: Enter non-registered or alternate mobile number.
Step 7: Click on ‘Send OTP’.
Step 8: Accept the ‘Terms and Condition’.
Step 9: Click on ‘Submit’ tab then Click on ‘Make payment’.
Step 10: You will be redirected to a ‘Payment Gateway’ page.
Step 11: Then you will get a receipt with digital signature after successful payment. You can downloaded it in PDF format and the Service Request Number will be sent to residents by SMS .

The UIDAI sends the printed Aadhaar Cards to the Department of Post within 5 working days after receiving an order for Aadhaar PVC Card. The Aadhaar PVC Cards are delivered to the residents at their registered address in the Aadhaar database via India Post’s Speed Post service, in accordance with Department of Posts delivery rules.

You can make the payment of fee through online by using Credit Card, Debit Card, Net Banking, UPI, and PayTM.
