Gujarat man opens India’s first animal vet ventilator, after losing fury friend

Ahmedabad: A 29-year-old Shaival Desai from Gujarat has opened India’s first animal vet ventilator. He lost his best friend, his pup a year ago due to lack of stomach illness that was diagnosed too late.

He is also the founder of BestBuds Pet Hospital in Ahemdabad.

In October 27, 2020 it was an unforgettable day for Shaival as his white retriever pup ‘Buddy” bid him the last goodbye.

Though shattered into pieces but having immense love for his pup, Desai decided that nobody else should go through the pain of losing his best buddy.

A mechanical engineer by profession, Shaival Desai started a one-stop solution to every problem related to pets – a non-profit vet hospital with fully equipped OT rooms and India’s first animal ventilator, BestBuds Pet Hospital.

It is a multi-speciality hospital that offers all kinds of treatments not only for dogs but for cats, birds, turtles, tortoises, rabbits, squirrels and other pets.

At present BestBuds Pet Hospital is providing a DR X-ray room that takes x-rays from all angles, a dental station, a surgery room with a “V” operating table that helps keep the pet’s body warm during surgeries, an anaesthesia gas evaporator and a ventilator for dogs.

Desai claims that not only pets but stray animals will also be taken good care of in this hospital.
