Galwan hero’s wife becomes Army officer, posted in LAC
Wife of Naik Deepak Singh, who died in Galwan Valley clash in 2020, has become a Lieutenant and is currently posted on LAC
As many as 20 Indian Army jawans were killed in clashes with China’s People’s Liberation Army at Galwan Valley of Ladakh in 2020. Among the Bravehearts was Officer Naik Deepak Singh, whose wife Rekha Singh has now made everyone proud by becoming a part of the Indian Army.
The officials said on Sunday that Rekha Singh has been commissioned into the Indian Army as a Lieutenant. Reportedly, she has been posted to a frontline base along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in eastern Ladakh.
On Saturday, Lt. Singh completed her one-year training at the Chennai-based Officers Training Academy (OTA).

Meanwhile, the late Naik Singh was in the 16th Battalion of the Bihar Regiment and was posthumously awarded Vir Chakra in 2021.
The tweet by the Indian Army addressed that NK Deepak Singh made a supreme sacrifice during the Galwan Valley clashes.
