New Delhi: The central government may give a DA hike employees before Holi. The dearness allowance of government employees may be increased next week or before Holi. If this is announced, 1.2 crore central government employees and pensioners will benefit.

The government increases dearness allowance twice in January and July for central employees and pensioners. Therefore, it is expected that the dearness allowance may be increased from the Holi festival.

Earlier, the dearness allowance is increased during Holi in March. Therefore, employees may get good news before Holi. Normally, the central government increases DA twice a year.

It is worth noting noteworthy that on March 5, 2025, there was no discussion on the increase in dearness allowance of central government employees in a meeting in New Delhi. The dearness allowance was last increased in July 2024. At that time, it was 50 percent to 53 percent. On March 7 last year, the cabinet increased DA from 46 percent to 50 percent.

In January 2025, the Central Government announced the implementation of the 8th Pay Commission. It is being said that it will be implemented next year. After the announcement of the formation of the 8th Pay Commission, employees and pensioners will get big benefits in salary, DA hike and pension.
