Balasore: Beauty queen Kalpasa Ankita Shaw recently was awarded with the best youth icon award for social services. The award was handed over to the diva in a colourful event in Bhubaneswar. She is the founder of Ankita Shaw foundation through which she extends social services to mostly orphans. Last year she provided financial assistance to P. Omm Prakash Mahuria and Ipsita Giri of Nilagiri to pursue higher education.
The beauty queen also makes it a point to celebrate her birthdays in orphanages. This year she took the inmates of an orphanage to a hotel and all of them celebrated a grand birthday.
Beauty queen Kalpasa from Balasore rose to fame after being crowned as Miss Balasore in 2012. Later the gorgeous lady also bagged many other titles including the Miss Odisha Perfect and Miss Photogenic in 2013.
Kalpasa is the first Odia girl whose portrait, named ‘Dream Girl’, got a berth at the Australia Art Gallery. She is the brand ambassador of Aroma Naturals beauty brand. She has been voted as the most beautiful woman in a survey. Besides, Kalpasa also works to promote culture and tradition of Odisha.
Talking to Kalinga TV web the diva said, “Wish you all a very happy Diwali. Please don’t make much noise and pollution, but rather have a good time laughing and spreading love and helping some needy people as much as you can and spread happiness.”
