Bengaluru IITian’s dream home sparks debate, internet says it’s ‘generational wealth’

Bengaluru: Animesh Chouhan, a Bengaluru-based techie, had to face online flak after he expressed gratitude to his tech job that allowed him to build his dream home. Chouhan, an IIT Kharagpur pass-out and employee of finance company, posted an image of his expansive three-storey house on X (previously Twitter) on November 13.

The house looked breath-taking with a huge entrance gate, giant windows, and wide balconies. Through his post, Chouhan cited being a software engineer and having experience in Python coding as the reasons for owning a house.

“Thanks, Python,” he posted.

But instead of thumps up, this was met with harsh comments saying it was his generational wealth that paid for the house.

Such incidence indicates India’s tech boom has shaped the nation as a global technological hub. Entrepreneurship, innovation, and extremely qualified workforce have substantially contributed to the growth of IT sectors and software industries.

Metropolitan cities such as Hyderabad, Pune, and Bengaluru have acquired great stature as techno hubs, leveraging startups and foreign direct investments. India’s progress in terms of technology has highly contributed to the country’s growing economy, contributing to rising GDP and employment opportunities.

The story of Chouhan depicts how far the tech industry has reached, which allows a person to live their dream life by owning a house.

Negative reviews aside, the posting of Chouhan demonstrates the bright side about how India’s boom in technology has positively driven the potential for people to go forth.

Reacting to the post, a user commented, “Congratulations Animesh. That’s a beautiful home. Whenever you get time, do share your room pictures (if you want to).”

Another user commented, “Congratulations. Looks amazing, and may you build so many more in the future.”

A third user wrote, “That is some achievement buddy.”
