Both public and private banks will remain closed for five consecutive days in the running week. The banks will remain closed in continuation of the extended festivities which saw the celebrations like Diwali and Bhai Dooj.
According to the bank holiday list released by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), there will be 13 working days and 17 bank holidays in the month of November, 2021. However, the holiday list may vary from state to state.
But, you don’t have to worry as you can always do bank transaction through online banking during the holidays as they will continue to work during the holidays.
For example bank branches in Bihar will remain closed for Chhath Puja but not closed for Wangala Festival being observed in North-eastern states.
Out of the 17 bank holidays in November, 11 holidays are of celebration and the remaining 7 days are weekend leaves (all Sundays along with the second and fourth Saturday of the month). The RBI’s list of holidays falls into three categories such as state-wise celebrations, religious holidays and festival celebrations.

November 10, 2021: Surya Pashti Dala Chhath (Sayan ardhya)/ Chhath Puja
November 11, 2021: Chhath Puja (PATNA)
November 12, 2021: Wangala Festival(only in the state of Meghalaya)
Wangala Festival is a harvest festival held in honour of Saljong, the Sun-god of fertility. The celebration of the Wangala Festival marks the end of a period of toil, which brings good output of the fields. It also signifies the onset of winter.
November 13, 2021 : Second Saturday of the month.
November 14, 2021: Sunday
