Be aware PNB Customers! Do This Work Before March 31

The second-largest government bank in the country, Punjab National Bank (PNB) has made an important announcement for its customers. In a statement, the bank asked its customers to exchange their checkbooks before March 31.

The bank has also issued new IFSC and MICR codes and the old IFSC and MICR codes will not work from March 31 onwards. Along with this, the old checkbooks of the customers will also not work after March 31.

The bank directed the customers to change it as soon as possible. By not doing so, customers will not be able to transact money online.

Two of the country’s largest government banks, Oriental Bank of Commerce and United Bank of India, have merged with PNB. Customers of both these banks have joined PNB.

PNB tweeted that the customers of e-OBC and e-UNI can apply for the new checkbook through various means including Internet banking, mobile banking or ATM before March 31.

You can get your checkbook right from home. According to the bank’s website, you also get a doorstep banking facility. With this help, you will not need to go to the bank branch. However, you will be charged a service charge for this.

The statement released by the bank further stated that old ATM cards will continue to work. If any customer needs a new ATM card, he can apply for this, apart from Internet Banking and Mobile Banking, it can be applied for by going to the branch. PNB had said that the cards of Oriental Bank of Commerce and United Bank of India are valid and customers can use them.
