Admission into +2 streams begins in Odisha

Bhubaneswar: The admission process for +2 streams in junior colleges began in Odisha on Monday.

As many as 3,41,927 students have been selected for admissions into Arts, Science, Commerce, Sanskrit and Vocational Education streams in this academic session.

Students selected for the first phase admission according to the first cut-off marks published by the School and Mass Education Department, will take admission at their preferred colleges.

In the first cut-off list, the Ravenshaw Higher Secondary School in Cuttack had the highest cut-off mark with 88.83 per cent for Science whereas Sainkul College in Ghasipura block of Keonjhar district announced the highest cut-off at 78.97 per cent for Arts and BJB Higher Secondary School in Bhubaneswar made the highest cut-off at 78.2 per cent for Commerce streams.

The admission process as per the first cut-off list will continue till July 5 while the second cut-off list will be announced on July 10 and the second phase admission will be held on July 11 and 12.

Regular classes are scheduled to begin in all junior colleges across the state from July 24.
