7th Pay Commission big update! Central employees likely to get pending DA arrears before this date

The much await of the central government employees is likely to end soon as the Union government is all set to give a good and great news to them, said media reports.

It is to be noted here that the Narendra Modi government has allowed 31 percent Dearness Allowance (DA). And now if reports are to be believed, the Union Cabinet along with the cabinet secretary likely to hold a meeting in this regard before Christmas on December 25.

It is being told that talks were held between the National Council of JCM, Department of Personnel and Training, and Ministry of Finance regarding arrears. However, no final decision has been taken about this yet. Still, the workers unions are demanding pending arrears. There is now a ray of hope for the govt. employees as they might receive the pending DA arrears for the last 18 months now!

A report from the krishijagran.com, as per the media reports, the council has put forth a demand in front of the government that while restoring DA, one time settlement of DA arrears that was stuck for 18 months. It is also expected that in December this issue can be discussed with the cabinet secretary to make one time settlement of 18 months DA arrears.

According to the Pay Commission report, there are a total of 33 lakh central employees in the country, added the media house.

The central employees’ bank account to be credited with a huge amount if PM Modi gives his nod to the decision. This will benefit 48 lakh central employees and more than 65 lakh pensioners.
