Beauty Queen Kalpasa Ankita Shaw from Balasore rose to fame after being crowned as Miss Balasore in 2012. Later the gorgeous lady also bagged many other titles including the Miss Odisha Perfect and Miss Photogenic in 2013.
Probably, Kalpasa is the first Odia girl whose portrait, named ‘Dream Girl’, got a place at the Australia Art Gallery.

On the other hand, the beautiful lady has also grabbed recognition thanks to her social work. She is the founder of Ankita Shaw foundation through which she extends social service to mostly orphans. Besides, she also works to promote the culture and tradition of Odisha.

What is her definition of beauty? Beauty Queen Kalpasa says, “Inherent beauty is more important than external beauty. For me, this is the definition of beauty. Beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder. You can see the beauty in anything and everything. It goes beyond the obvious. You don’t quite believe the compliments that came my way.”

“My feeling for love is pure and healthy always. The term ‘love’ should never be belittled. It always reins our heart. People say they fall in love but for me, it is not as I rise in love. I hope you all respect love and rise in love,” she said.

Asked to provide her opinion on marriage the beauty queen said, “Marriage is all about growing together. And I must say it is a blessing from God.”

After her portrait getting a place at the Australia Art Gallery Beauty Queen Kalpasa can be seen as an international icon. Asked for her opinion on it she said, “I am not going to make any opinion on it but surely I enjoyed the recognition. Life is been so kind to me. I am happy that my life is enriched with all these achievements and sweet experiences.”
