Bhubaneswar: A day after a video showing some miscreants stripping off a young couple went viral on social media and it was alleged that the incident took place in the capital city, the Twin City Police Commissioner YB Khurania clarified today that, it has been shot in Mayurbhanj.
Informing on the location of the crime Khurania said after the preliminary investigation, police suspects the crime took place in Jyotipur of Mayurbhanj district. Mayurbhanj SP has been communicated in this regard, he added.
On the other hand being contacted over the issue, the Mayurbhanj SP refrained from giving any comments in this connection and maintained that the matter is under investigation and truth would be revealed only after the probe is complete.
Similarly, Baripada Police suspects the incident to be at least seven months old, which took place in Jyotipur in April this year and was filmed by the perpetrators. As the victim girl shown in the video studies in an engineering college in Bhubaneswar, it was mistaken to be shot in the city.
