“Everybody should visit KISS”; says UPSC Chairman Prof. David R. Syiemlieh Bhubaneswar: On his first visit to Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS), and Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT) here on Thursday, Prof. David R. Syiemlieh, Chairman, Union Public Service Commission (UPSC), New Delhi described Dr. Achyuta Samanta, founder, KIIT & KISS, as a ‘great visionary with simplicity’ and said everybody should visit KISS.

“It never happened before in my life and I feel shy standing before you. Everybody should visit KISS rather than visiting historical sites. Each of you are unique, each of you are a gift, your leader Dr. Achyuta Samanta, founder, KIIT & KISS, is a great visionary with simplicity. I have never seen such a person with so simplicity and humility in my life,” said Prof. Syiemlieh while interacting with 25000 tribal students of KISS.

“Students should establish themselves in society and adopt the quality of Dr. Samanta, in serving the poor, deprived and underprivileged in the society,” he urged.

The UPSC Chairman, who was given a warm welcome by the students and staff of KISS, also visited all campuses of KIIT and all units of KISS.

Among others, Niankoro Yeah Samake, Ambassador Plenipotentiary and Extraordinary, Republic of Mali and Philippe Le Gall, Ambassador of the Republic of Seychelles and R. N. Dash, Secretary, KIIT & KISS were present during the meeting.
