Bodies of 2 women recovered from locked house in RourkelaRourkela: Bodies of two women were recovered from a locked room in Chhend Colony of the city in Odisha on Wednesday.

Bodies of the deceased persons have been identified as Ester Lenka and her niece Madhusmita Lenka

Ester, wife of one Braja Sahu,was a teacher of an Upper Primary school while Madhusmita was a college student. Both were staying at quarter no D-48 in the colony.

The matter came to light after getting foul smell from the quarter. The door was locked from inside the house while the window was found open.Eventually, police were called to the spot in this connection.

Though the exact reason behind the death of the women is yet to be known, kin of the deceased woman alleged that Braja has murdered the duo over family dispute. It is alleged that Braja had a long fight with her wife demanding registration of two houses in his name which the teacher owned.

Braja Sahu was staying away from the house for the last one year and had come to the house on September 25, according to the local people. However he is now absconding.

Meanwhile, Chhend Police along with a scientific team is investigating the matter.
