The friendship between a girl and a monkey in the capital city of Odisha that was witnessed lately will surely make you happy. The unique friendship was noticed on the Republic Day in the capital city of Odisha.
On the street in between Rajmahal square and Kalpana chowk in Bhubaneswar, a road side vending shop of tricolours and other patriotism related elements was seen. It was been sold on the occasion of the Republic Day. As per reports, the owner of the shop was Mannubhai.
After a while a small girl appeared on the scene. As she called up, then a monkey came and sat near her. The monkey was not scared of the customers and passers-by. The girl was petting the monkey. After some time the monkey was seen holding a national flag. The girl and the monkey both sat together holding a national flag as if the monkey was the salesman.
Being interested to know more after going through all these happenings, as this reporter asked the girl, she narrated how the monkey had been saved 14 years back by her family members.
Fourteen years back once a pack of dogs were chasing this monkey when the owner of this small shop rescued it from the fury of the dogs. Later, the monkey was named as Manu after the name of the shop owner. The family kept it as a pet and soon the monkey became like a family member to all of them, the small girl narrated.
‘Manu is my friend. It goes with me to the school and waits till my classes are over. Once I get done, we two return from school together. Since I was a toddler, I have been living with Manu. We don’t leave each other and always stay together,” said the girl.
Love and affection is not limited only to humans. Sometimes, animals also turn best friends. In some cases, it seems animals understand what is love and affection. In this case, the monkey became friend of the family after it was rescued.
