Although most of us love our planet and are aware about environmental hazards, we are still oblivion of the simple habits that are environment friendly. Fossil fuels are non-renewable sources of energy. Their excessive combustion adversely impacts the ecosystem and environment. Thus, we should try not to depend too much on the use of fossil fuels and start exploring their alternative. Also, we must try to find out which fossil fuel based products are we using so that we can replace them with more eco-friendly substitute.

Whenever you go out for shopping, always try to purchase products that are made up of recycled materials and possess minimal packaging. For example, you can buy notebooks made of recycled paper or a vanity bag made from vegetable leather. To find this, one can look into the manufacturing processes to check if it was made from recycled materials or not.

  • Conserve Water:

Water is one of the most important resources pivotal for human survival. The global water requirements are increasing day by day and conserving water has become the need of the hour. Few ways to conserve water are taking short showers, fixing leaky pipes, keeping the water taps closed while you brushing your teeth, using water saving appliances and rainwater harvesting during monsoon days.

Trees are the lifeline of planet earth. They provide us with oxygen, fruits, vegetables, purify the air, provide shelter to wild animals, control water cycle and rainfall and prevent soil erosion. A green landscape helps in conservation of the earth’s vital ecosystems and maintain adequate oxygen levels in the atmosphere. You can plant small trees around your home, set up a garden, turn a waste patch of land green by planting trees. One can also work with local environmental groups to promote afforestation and educate others about the importance of trees.

  • Say No To Plastic:

Plastic are non-biodegradable in nature. They also release harmful chemicals into the soil, which then seep into groundwater or other surrounding water sources and also the ecosystem. This can cause serious harm to the species that drink the water. Besides, plastic waste is also a big menace. Thus, ditching plastic bags for cloth ones is the first thing one can do for an eco-friendly lifestyle.

  • Educate Others:
