Puri: In a heart-warming and tear-jerking incident, a mother cat’s unwavering love and care towards her kitten were on full display in Puri, Odisha lately. A young kitten fell into a deep bore well near SCS College in Puri, leaving its mother frantically searching for help.
The kitten, who was playing with its mother near a Biryani centre, accidentally tumbled into the open bore well. Unable to speak, the mother cat resorted to roaming around the area, meowing plaintively, in an attempt to convey her distress to passersby.
Some people noticed the cat’s unusual behavior and guessed that something was amiss. Upon investigation, they discovered the kitten trapped in the bore-well and immediately called the fire services department.
After getting information the fire services personnel rushed to the spot and initiated a rescue operation. The fire department team put in three hours of tough effort to retrieve the kitten from the depths of the bore well.
Throughout the rescue operation, the mother cat stayed on the spot, and even did not take food as she anxiously waited for her kitten’s safe return.
Finally, the moment of truth arrived, and the kitten was rescued. The reunion between the mother cat and her kitten was an emotional spectacle, with both animals displaying visible relief and affection. The scene was so poignant that it brought tears to the eyes of the onlookers, who were moved by the mother cat’s unwavering love and care for her child.
