Gajapati SP Sarah Sharma collects relief material for cyclone victims

Gajapati Superintendent of Police IPS Sarah Sharma who has proved her mettle in the last few years as a top cop, once again has hit the headlines after collecting donation from shops and household for cyclone Fani victims. Along with other police officials the top cop went on a door to door campaign with a large disc on her hand to collect relief material and money.

Sharma is of the opinion that since half of Odisha is languishing under wreth of the devastation brought by cyclone Fani lately, it becomes every body’s duty to execute his part of duty to extend helping hand towards the victims. Many people are yet to get drinking water, power and other most necessary facilities. And so we must help them.

She said that the move is also an awareness campaign to stand behind our fellow brotherns in time of need. “Whatever relief material and moneytary assistance we will get in donation by evening of May 10, all these stuff and money will be send to the state police head quarters to be utilised in aid of the cyclone victims.”

The extremely severe cyclonic storm Fani had hit the Odisha coast at Puri on May 3 and wretched many districts in the coastal belt including Puri, Khordha and Cuttack.
