“Be it recession or anything, wedding sector will never get hit, as people won’t stop getting married. With the concept of theme-based and destination wedding catching up in Odisha, wedding planners like us have a lot to offer. People these days, want everything to happen perfectly and that is where our job starts,” says Baldev, a wedding planner who owns Wedding Wale, and specialises in artistic wedding concept.
In addition, the most important part of the wedding – dresses – are aplenty to choose from.

“I was surprised to see the response here. On the first day itself, I got a lot of orders. One of the most important highlights in dresses these days is the colour. People have started experimenting with colours and are opting to look different,” says Vikas Agarwal, who stall from Kolkata has silk sarees, bridal lehengas, long tunics, crop tops in the range of Rs 1000 and Rs 40,000.
