Fibre Rich Oats Cheela Is Perfect Breakfast Item
Bhubaneswar: Cheela is a popular dish of Indian cuisine that can be prepared in no time and served as a breakfast or snack meal. This delicious item is made with besan (gram flour), which is full of proteins and energises the body.
But if you want to elevate the nutritional quotient of besan cheela, you can add in oats as they are loaded with essential nutrients.
Due to their high-fibre and low-calorie nature, oats are also recommended for healthy weight loss. Oats are also high in proteins, which keep the body full and active for a long time.
Oats Cheela Recipe:
- 1 cup oats
- 1 and a half cup buttermilk
- 1 tsp ginger paste
- 1 tsp roasted cumin
- 1 green chilly
- 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1/2 tsp coriander powder
- 1/2 tsp red chili powder
- salt as per taste
Heat a pan. Roast oats in it for some time and put it in a mixer grinder. Powder it well. Add buttermilk, ginger paste, cumin, chilli, cayenne pepper, coriander powder, red chilli powder and salt to it. Beat it once more till it forms a semi thick paste. Heat another pan and grease it with oil. Pour the mixture and form a small pancake. Remove once golden brown.
