Watch: Trailer of ‘Simmba’ Starring Ranveer Singh, Sara Ali Khan & Sonu Sood

Mumbai: Actors Ranveer Singh and Sara Ali Khan on Monday launched the trailer of their upcoming film ‘Simmba’ at an event in Mumbai. Director Rohit Shetty and producer Karan Johar were also present during the trailer launch.

The trailer of ‘Simmba’ opens with Ajay Devgn reprising his role as Bajirao Singham and introducing Ranveer’s character Sangram Bhalerao.  Sangram enjoys being a corrupt cop and takes full advantage of its lifestyle.He is shown as a local hoodlum when a girl he treats as his sister is killed, Bhalerao takes it upon himself to bring down the rapists who murdered her. Even it means taking upon the powerful mafia Sonu Sood.

In an interview with a leading daily about his character in ‘Simmba’, Ranveer said, “It has been a mind, soul enhancing experience. Rohit sir is the king of the genre. I am growing as an artiste. It is not easy to be performing, acting in mainstream films as there is comedy, drama, action, etc. It is my biggest film and I am very excited about it. It is going to be a full on family entertainer and I want to be part of films like this in future.”

Also starring comedian Siddharth Jadhav, Prakash Raj, ‘Simmba’ also features a special dance number by Sunny Leone. The film is slated to release on December 28.
