Mumbai: Grammy award-winning music composer AR Rahman on Sunday released the teaser of ‘Jai Hind India’ – the anthem of Hockey World Cup-2018, to be held between November 27 and December 16.
While Rahman has composed the song, celebrated lyricist-poet Gulzar has penned it.
The video song, which focuses on the message ‘purpose is loftier than victory or defeat’, features Bollywood Superstar Shah Rukh Khan and some prominent Indian hockey players.
Meanwhile, Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik thanked Rahman and Shah Rukh for the catchy teaser.
Taking to his twitter handle Patnaik said, “Thanks @arrahman ji for #OdishaWorldCupAnthem. The catchy teaser captures the excitement & euphoria of hockey lovers across India for #HockeyWorldCup2018. Looking forward to the full version & watching you live in #Bhubaneswar & #Cuttack.
The music Maestro along is slated to perform along with King Khan during the opening ceremony of the mega tournament on November 27 at Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar. He will also perform at Barabati Stadium in Cuttack the following day.
