Watch: ‘Nai Lagda’ From Notebook Touches Romantic Chords Of The Heart

Bhubaneswar: The makers of ‘Notebook’ on Thursday released the first song from the film titled ‘Nai Lagda’. The song, picturised on Pranutan Bahl and Zaheer Iqbal, is melodious, soulful and one of the most romantic songs to have come out in recent times. It perfectly portrays the emotions of love and longing, with two lovers unknowingly expressing their love for each other.

‘Notebook’ is a story of a man and a woman who fall in love without even knowing or seeing each other. In the film, Pranutan plays a school teacher named Firdaus who chooses marriage over the profession she loves. After her marriage, Kabir (Zaheer Iqbal) get appointed as the teacher of the school, where he finds an old notebook of Pranutan and after going through it, he eventually falls in love with her (though he never sees her). Kabir eventually learns that Firdaus is getting married and so, he confesses his feelings to Firdaus on a notebook, which she later finds in the same school.

‘Nai Lagda’ has been composed by Vishal Mishra and sung by Vishal and Asees Kaur. Salman Khan, who is producing ‘Notebook’ also unveiled the song on social media. Pranutan Bahl and Zaheer Iqbal also shared the first song from their debut film on social media.

 

Directed by Nitin Kakkar and produced by Salman Khan, ‘Notebook’ has been shot extensively at picturesque locations in Kashmir like Pahalgam, Gulmarg, Sonmarg, and Srinagar.

‘Notebook’ marks the debut of Pranutan Bahl and Zaheer Iqbal. While Pranutan is the granddaughter of legendary actress Nutan and daughter of actor Mohnish Bahl, Zaheer Iqbal is the son of Salman Khan’s childhood friend Iqbal.

‘Notebook’ is slated for theatrical release on March 29, 2019.
