Mahakumbh, the divine gathering, invited millions of devotees to the Triveni Sangam. Including Bollywood stars taking a holy dip in sacred waters. Actress Katrina Kaif was one of them, and her experience has left fans feeling sympathetic towards her.
As Katrina was taking the holy dip, a huge crowd surrounded her and her family, asking for selfies and pictures. Drone footage of the moment shows Katrina, in an orange suit, surrounded by her mother-in-law, priests, priestesses, bodyguards, and other pilgrims. Yet one thing is clear that many of them were more interested in snapping photos with the actress than in the spiritual significance of the event.
The video shows the media following Katrina with cameras and microphones. Two people wrapped a towel around her shoulders after her dip. Fans voiced concern that people were getting too close to Katrina, some even argued that the video shows why celebrities need “VIP culture” to protect themselves from hyperenthusiastic crowds.
Amidst all this hullabaloo over her holy dip, she was also present at a spiritual gathering by Parmarth Niketan Ashram President Swami Chidanand Saraswati. Abhishek Banerjee also attended the occasion. Despite the chaos surrounding her holy dip, Katrina seemed to be in a calm mood, taking in the spiritual atmosphere of the Mahakumbh.
