A single-minded fan, Tenali Sandeep, constructed a temple in Andhra Pradesh in honor of actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu. The fan commemorated her 38th birthday by providing food to orphans in the temple, which he refers to as ‘The Temple of Samantha’. An online video reveals two busts of Samantha, adorned with flowers and streamers, as Sandeep cuts a cake surrounded by children.

“My name is Tenali Sandeep, and I am from Alapadu gramam in Bapatla, Andhra Pradesh. I am a great fan of Samantha garu,” Sandeep told in an interview. “I have been celebrating her birthday for three years now, and I also erected this temple then. Every year, I make sure I feed children and cut a cake on the day. Her philanthropy inspires me, and I want to tread in her footsteps.”

This is not the first instance a fan has created a temple dedicated to an actress or actor – Rajinikanth, NTR, and Sridevi are among stars who have been idolized just like that. Amitabh Bachchan and Sonu Sood also have their temples. This speaks of how much deep-seated adoration and passion actors and actresses command from fans for their actors or actresses of preference.

She will feature in Maa Inti Bangaram, which she is also producing under her label, Tralala Moving Pictures, and Raj & DK’s Netflix series Rakt Brahmand: The Bloody Kingdom.
