Trailer release of Vidyut Jamwal’s Junglee

Bhubaneswar: The trailer of Junglee was released on Wednesday which stars India’s very own action star Vidyut Jamwal. The film seems to pack the right amount of action, emotion and some romance too. It is directed by Chuck Russel of The Mask, Eraser and The Scorpion King fame and releases on April 5

The trailer video begins with Vidyut calling out to ‘Bhola’ who turns out be his childhood best friend- an elephant. The trailer further shows how they grow up together in his father’s elephant reserve and have learnt of a friendship that is not taught in any school. We are also introduced to the antagonist in Atul Kulkarni in the role of a hunter/poacher.

As per the movie’s synopsis, Junglee is a family-adventure film, revolving around a vet, who on his homecoming to his father’s elephant reserve, reunites with his childhood friend- ‘Bhola’, the elephant, and fights an international poachers racket.

Just like Vidyut Jamwal’s other movies, is also packed with some cool action sequences with actor delivering massive kicks in the guts to his enemies. Vidyut has practised Kalaripayattu (martial art form of Kerala) especially for the movie and the usage in the movie seems apt.

Sadly, the movie is a clear reminiscent of 2005 Thai martial arts film titled Tom-Yum-Goong. The hit multilingual movie also carried the same basic plot where the lead and elephant grow up together, where the tusker gets poached later and the lead fights to rescue it.
