Mumbai: After hard-hitting drama ‘Pink’, Amitabh Bachchan and Taapsee Pannu are back with a thriller drama Badla. Directed by Sujoy Ghosh (known for Jhankaar Beats, Kahaani and Kahaani 2) and produced by Red Chillies Entertainment along with Azure Entertainment, the film is set to release on March 8.
The first look of Badla was released yesterday and both the leading stars looked extremely potent. While Taapsee puts on a frightened look, Big B poses an intense look with black-rimmed glasses in the other.
Coming to the trailer, it starts with Big B’s heavy voice “Badla lena har baar nahi hota, lekin maaf kar dena bhi har baar sahi nahi hota.” Bachchan has some amazing punchlines, which are going to stay with you for a long time. From the trailer, it’s clear that Taapsee has gotten herself embroiled in a murder and Bachchan is her lawyer who is known to break all bounds to get his client free.
Set in blue undertones, the thriller packs enough punches and has sufficient built up for interesting suspense.
Now, Badla is an official Hindi remake of the Spanish film, The Invisible Guest and is touted as a revenge thriller that was shot in several locations including Mumbai and Scotland.
