The Kerala Story, led by actress Adah Sharma, is on a historic run. The controversial movie, directed by Sudipto Sen, comfortably crossed the Rs 100 crore mark at the box office worldwide on its second Friday.

Despite the demand for a ban from various politicians, it continues to register growth at the ticket counters and made a whopping Rs19.50 crore on its second Saturday. This brings its total collection to almost Rs 113 crore.

The film opened well with collections of around Rs 6.75 crores net, but it is trending and has stunned one and all.

Film trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared the collections of the film on Twitter on Sunday. He wrote, “#TheKeralaStory is a ONE-HORSE RACE… Has a SUPER-SOLID [second] Sat, cruises past ₹ 100 cr in style… The BIG JUMP was on the cards, given the trends… Biz on [second] Sun should be HUGE again… [Week 2] Fri 12.35 cr, Sat 19.50 cr. Total: ₹ 112.99 cr. #India biz. #Boxoffice.”

He further added that the film is the fourth Hindi film to join the ₹100 crore club. He tweeted, “#TheKeralaStory is the fourth #Hindi film to cross ₹ 100 cr [NBOC] in 2023… #Pathaan [Jan] #TuJhoothiMainMakkaar [March] #KisiKaBhaiKisiKiJaan [Apri] #TheKeralaStory [May].”

The Kerala Story is now the second-highest-grossing Hindi film of 2023, thanks to this. The film has been buried in a few discussions, but that hasn’t impacted BO execution of the film.

Apart from Adah Sharma, the film also stars Yogita Bihani, Siddhi Idnani, and Sonia Balani. It is produced by Vipul Amrutlal Shah.
