Teaser of Sara Ali Khan’s debut film ‘Kedarnath’ out

The teaser of much awaited film ‘Kedarnath’ is out. This is debut movie of star kid Sara Ali Khan, daughter of Amrita Singh and Saif Ali Khan. The teaser also reveals the release date of the film. It was a talk of the town whether ‘Kedarnath’ will release before or after ‘Simmba’. However, as per the teaser the film is finally slated to hit screens on December 7, which is two weeks ahead of ‘Simmba’.

In the first look, released earlier, protagonist of the film, Sushant Rajput is seen carrying the leading lady on his back. The underlying message of the film ‘Love is a pilgrimage’ as suggests the poster. From the look it seems Mansoor is a porter who carries pilgrims to the Kedarnath temple. The film is based on a love story while it also showcases the wrath of nature, like the 2013 Uttarakhand flood that killed over a couple of thousand people.

The film was for long in the pipeline.  Sara essays the role of a tourist-pilgrim Mukku, who embarks on the 14-km journey from Gauri Kund to Kedarnath at a time when the sudden and devastating Kedarnath floods destroyed Uttarakhand. The teaser reveals Sushant, who plays a Muslim pithu (one who carries pilgrims on their back) named Mansoor, is Mukku’s constant companion on the pilgrimage, during the course of which they fall in love.

The teaser is appealing enough to hold you till the end, though there is no dialouges unlike many other teasers. Indeed it will make you forget blinking through the length of it. However, a steamy kiss featuring the leading lad and leading lady of the film may make you upset. Many netizens have opined that though they have no problem with a lip-lock in Bollywood films, such a scene in a story based on a popular shrine, seems irrelevant.
