Tamil Actor and Comedian Pandu Dies Of Covid-19

Chennai: Popular Tamil actor and Comedian Pandu passed away on Thursday due to Covid-19 related complications. He was 74.

Recently, he and his wife Kumudha has tested positive for the virus and were admitted to a private hospital. After his condition deteriorated on Thursday morning. He took his last breath at the hospital.

Pandu was known for playing comedy roles in Tamil films. Pandu’s demise has left Kollywood in shock. He is survived by his wife Kumudha and sons, Prabhu, Panchu and Pintu.

Pandu made his acting debut in Karaiyellam Shenbagapoo. Pandu gained popularity after playing a cameo role along with Thala Ajith in Kadhal Kottai, which was directed by Agathiyan.

He has also worked in the movies such as Rickshaw Mama, Ullathai Allitha, Gokulathil Seethai, Kadhal Kottai, Muthu, Poomagal Oorvalam,and among others. The actor was recently seen in Itly alongside Kovai Sarala and Urvashi.

The news came as a shocker for the entire Tamil film industry. Several film analysts and netizens expressed grief over the demise of the senior actor through their social media handles.
