Srk, Big B, Janhvi pen beautiful note for Khusi, Suhana and Agastya for their Bollywood debut ‘The Archies’

Online streaming platform Netflix dropped the first look of Zoya Akhtar’s Bollywood adaptation of the comic series, The Archies on Saturday. The cast introduction video has surely taken the audience back down the memory lane.

Set in the 1960s, ‘The Archies’ is a musical drama that will premiere on Netflix.

The star cast of the movie includes Srk’s daughter Suhana Khan, Amitabh Bachchan’s grandson Agastya Nanda and Janhvi Kapoor’s younger sister Khushi Kapoor.

Proud family members of the star kids took to their social media to share the film poster along with the introductory teaser and penned beautiful notes for them.

While sharing the teaser Shah Rukh Khan congratulated all the actors and wrote, “From renting the Archie’s Digest for 25 paise per day from book rental stores to see @zoieakhtar make this come alive on screen….is just incredible. Wishing all the little ones the best as they take their first little steps into the most beautiful of professions.”

In his next post he shared the film poster along with a note for his daughter asking her to be “kind and giving” as an actor. The note read, “And remember @suhanakhan2 you are never going to be perfect….but being yourself is the closest to that. Be kind and giving as an actor….the brickbats and applause is not yours to keep….the part of you that gets left behind on screen will always belong to you….u have come a long way baby….but the road to peoples heart is unending…..stride forth and make as many smile as you can. Now let there be Light….Camera and Action!”

King Khan’s wife Gauri Khan also took to her Instagram account to congratulate the star cast and lauded Suhana by saying that she finally ‘did it.’ The note read, “Congratulations… all the best to all the amazing kids and team of #TheArchies . And who better than @zoieakhtar to guide them through this journey!! You did it @suhanakhan2!!!!!!!”

Agastya Nanda’s proud gradfather Amitabh Bachchan and Uncle Abhishek Bachchan also took to their respective Instagram account to congratulate the kids. They also expressed their joy and pride over Agastya’s debut.

Big B wrote, ” another SONrise .. my GrandSON .. all the blessings Agastya .. love you.” On the other hand Junior Bachchan wrote, “We all grew up reading Archies!!! How amazing that now we have our very own version. Thank you @zoieakhtar And such an emotional moment for me personally. The next generation of actors! God bless you all. Work hard, stay focussed, stay humble and ever appreciative of all the love you all are about to receive. Agastya, my nephew, you make us all so proud. Love you! Now, enough said…. Get to work!!!”

Lastly, Late Sridevi’s daughter Khushi Kapoor who is playing a pivitol role in the flick also got a shout out from her elder sister, actor Janhvi Kapoor. In her note of appreciation the ‘Dhadak’ actress wrote, “CAN YOU KEEP CALM?!?!?!! I CANT????? CAN YOU BREATHE!!!! BECAUSE I CaNT!!!!! If this isn’t THE MOST EXCITING THING idk what is!!!!!??????!!!! You guys have been working tirelessly for months to create this world, find these characters and start living this journey and there’s no one better than @zoieakhtar to guide you through this and create this most special and wholesome world of Archies!”

She further added, “And my sister!!! @khushi05k 🥺🥺 I can’t wait for the world to see how beautiful you are inside and out. Can’t wait to see you shine ❤️ I love you and I wish I was with you to give you 10292028 huggies and kissies”

Apart from the star kids, the film also stars Mihir Ahuja, Dot, Yuvraj Menda, and Vedang Raina in key roles. The young actors will play the beloved characters from the hugely popular Archie Comics. The film is due for a 2023 release on streaming platform Netflix.
