Sidharth Malhotra & Kiara Advani Starrer Shershaah To Release In Cinemas On This Date

Mumbai: The release date of Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani-starrer Shershaah is out. The film will hit the theatres on July 2. The film, also starring Kiara Advani, has been helmed by Tamil director Vishnu Varadhan.

The film is based on the life of Captain Vikram Batra, who died in the Kargil War and was honoured with the Param Vir Chakra posthumously. Sidharth plays the role of Captain Vikram Batra in the film, which was earlier scheduled to release on July 3 last year.

Announcing the new release date on Twitter, the actor wrote: “The untold true story of Captain Vikram Batra (PVC) is all set to unravel on the big screens. #Shershaah coming to theatres near you on July 2, 2021. See you at the movies!”

Shershaah has been produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions, which has backed most of Sidharth’s projects since his debut in 2012. The film has been penned by Sandeep Shrivastava.

Shershah was earlier scheduled to release in July 2020 but had to be delayed owing to the coronavirus pandemic.
