Sidharth Malhotra And Parineeti Chopra Start Shooting For ‘Jabariya Jodi’
Mumbai: After almost 4 years of ‘Hasee To Phasee’, Sidharth Malhotra and Parineeti Chopra are coming together for Ekta Kapoor’s ‘Jabariya Jodi’. The film, earlier titled ‘Shotgun Shadi’, is based on the pakadwa vivaah or groom kidnapping tradition of Bihar. Sidharth will be seen playing a Bihari thug in the film.
Both Sidharth and Parineeti have headed for Lucknow, before shooting for the first look of the film which will be revealed soon. Produced by Ekta Kapoor and Shaailesh R Singh, ‘Jabariya Jodi’ marks the directorial debut of Prashant Singh, an associate of Aanand L Rai who has assisted him in many films.
The film has gone on floors in Lucknow. Ekta Kapoor’s Balaji Motion Pictures shared a picture on Instagram confirming the same-
Producer Shaailesh R Singh has said that ‘Jabariya Jodi’ is a film which comes straight from the heartland of India. It has colourful characters and both Sidharth and Parineeti will surprise the audiences in the movie.

Sidharth Malhotra has expressed joy over reuniting with Parineeti after a long time for ‘Jabariya Jodi’, which according to him is a mixture of good content, comedy and humour. As per reports, both Sidharth and Parineeti will be taking diction and body language classes to get into the skin of their character. The movie will be extensively shot in Bihar and Lucknow.
