Sara, Janhvi and Bhumi approached by conman Sukesh Chandrasekhar!

After Jacqueline Fernandez and Nora Fatehi, now three more actress’s name has come forward in the money laundering case related to conman Sukesh Chandrasekhar. The accused has tried to interact with Bollywood stars like Sara Ali Khan, Janhvi Kapoor and Bhumi Pednekar.

According to the reports, the jailed con artist tried to contact the three Bollywood actresses and scam them as well. Reportedly, A new charge sheet has been filed by the Enforcement Directorate which states that Chandrasekhar had offered luxury cars as gifts to these actresses.

The ED alleges that Sukesh Chandrasekhar’s close aide Pinky Irani, also known as Angel, use to approach actors and models and even took some of them to Tihar Jail to meet him.

The agency arrested Pinky in December last year, however, she has been granted bail by a Delhi court recently. She has been accused of money laundering and helping Chandrasekhar establish contact with actor Jacqueline Fernandez and sending her expensive gifts on his behalf.

Earlier this month, a supplementary charge sheet was filed against Pinky by the ED before a court, regarding the money laundering case. In the prosecution complaint, ED has attached replies sent to the accused by Bhumi, Sara and Janhvi.

During the investigation it has been discovered that when Sukesh was at Delhi’s Rohini jail, he allegedly ran an extortion racket using phone spoofing technology. He was later shifted to the Tihar jail.

The ED has named the actresses and models are witnesses and not as accused in the case.

According to the charge sheet filed, Bhumi Pednekar has stated that Irani tried to reach her through texts and claimed to be the vice president (of) HR News Express Post. She then informed her that their group chairman (Chandrasekhar) is a fan of hers and wanted to speak with her about a huge project and also wanted to gift her a car. Earlier this year, Bhumi was also questioned by the ED regarding the case.

Bhumi then added to her statement that she did not receive any gift from the conman or his executive nor had she ever met them or had “any sort of personal interaction, either social or professional, with them.”

Sara Ali Khan on the other hand told to ED that she did not know anyone by the name of Sukesh Chandrasekhar. But someone in the name of “Mr Suraj Reddy did WhatsApp her on May 21, 2021 and claimed that he would like to gift her a car as a family gesture. He also mentioned that his CEO Mrs Irani had tried to contact her.”

The Kedarnath actress then said that even after her constant refusal, Reddy continued to insist on giving her gifts.

“However, after many attempts of refusing him, she did agree on receiving a box of chocolates from him and thereafter he sent a Franck Muller watch along with the chocolates,” the ED said.

Meantime, Janhvi Kapoor revealed that she was contacted by a lady who identified herself as Leena for a Nail art company called Nail Artistry. She approached the Dhadak actress to be a a celebrity guest at the launch of a salon in Bengaluru. In her statement to ED, Janhvi said that she inaugurated the salon in July last year on behalf of which she received a Christian Dior luxury bag and a professional fee of ₹ 18.94 lakh in her bank account. The actress also sent a statement of the transaction to the agency.

Nail Artistry is stated to be the business enterprise of Leena Maria Paul who is Chandrasekhar’s wife.
