Mumbai: Actor Sanjay Kapoor will be playing the role of Sonam Kapoor’s father in Abhisekh Sharma’s next titled ‘The Zoya Factor’. Sanjay, who is Sonam’s paternal uncle, expressed heartfelt joy at being a part of the film and stated that he can’t wait to work with his niece.
Sanjay emotionally added that Sonam has been someone who has grown up in front of his eyes and the fact that they will be sharing screen space together is what makes this film so special.
Notably, The Zoya Factor is based on Anuja Chauhan’s popular novel of the same name. The movie stars Sonam Kapoor opposite South actor Dulquer Salman. While Sonam plays Zoya Singh Solanki, an advertising executive, Dilquer will be seen playing Nikhil Khoda, the captain of the Indian cricket team.
As per latest reports, shooting for the film has commenced in Mumbai and both Sonam and Dilquer have been attending workshops and undergoing look test to get into the skin of their characters.
Also starring Angad Bedi and Sikandar Kher in key roles, ‘The Zoya Factor’ is slated to hit theatres on April 5, 2019.
