Sand art on ‘Manikarnika: The Queen Of Jhansi’ goes viral

Kangana Raaut starrer ‘Manikarnika: The Queen Of Jhansi’ will hit the theatres Friday. Also, Abhijit Panse’s ‘Thackeray’, in which Nawazuddin Siddiqui plays the protagonist, will be released tomorrow.

While both the films are members of the ‘long-waited’ club it is time to wait and watch which film can impact more on the box office. Period film Manikarnika dwells upon the heroic story of Rani Laxmibai while ‘Thackeray’ is a biopic on the founder of Shiv Sena and late politician Bal Thackeray.

The trailer of Manikarnika: The Queen Of Jhansi released last month to earn huge hits and went viral. The trailer has over 25 million views on YouTube so far.

In the meanwhile a YouTube video that dwells upon sand art on the Kangana Ranaut film has hit the headlines for its unbelievable accuracy. The art is truly mesmerizing.

Manikarnika showcases the journey of Rani Laxmi Bai from a widow to a warrior. Besides Kangana, the film also features Danny Denzongpa, Atul Kulkarni, Mishti and Jisshu Sengupta among others.

Last week a special screening of Manikarnika: The Queen Of Jhansi was organised at the Rashtrapati Bhavan in New Delhi, where the cast of the film was also felicitated by President Ram Nath Kovind.

Photos of this special screening were shared by the President’s official Twitter account. “President Kovind watched a special screening of the film Manikarnika, based on the life of Rani Lakshmi Bai of Jhansi, at Rashtrapati Bhavan Cultural Centre; felicitated the cast and crew of the film,” read the caption on the post.
