Salman Khan & Katrina’s Bharat reaches silver screen on Eid

Mumbai: Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif’s much awaited Bharat got released on Eid today. The film received good opening and was praised by Bollywood celebs.

Salman makes sure that his movies release on Eid every year and is releasing across 70 countries in more than 1300 screens, is expected to bring in up to Rs 30 crore on its first day at the box office.

The movie journeys through different stages of Bharat’s life – both the country and the character – making it a unique Salman film. The movie uses political milestones, iconic sports events and Bollywood references to establish a timeline.

Last time, Salman Khan failed to shine despite minting money at the box office. Race 3 got heavily trolled by the movie-goers and received flak from critics. Tubelight too failed to impress the critics and the viewers. The negative word of mouth also affected the business of the movie, leaving the makers and Salman quite disappointed.

Post Tubelight and Race 3‘s failure, Bharat comes as a golden chance for Salman Khan for win back his fans’ hearts.

The Ali Abbas Zafar directorial is a remake of the 2014 South Korean movie, Ode to My Father, and also stars Katrina Kaif, Sunil Grover, Jackie Shroff, Sonali Kulkarni, Disha Patani and Nora Fatehi among others.
