Saiyaara stars Ahaan Panday, Aneet Padda achieve IMDb Breakout Star Awards

Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda, the lead actors of Mohit Suri’s romantic drama Saiyaara, have been awarded the highly acclaimed IMDb Breakout Star STARmeter Awards. The award honors top performers on the Popular Indian Celebrities list released on the IMDb app, which tracks page views of more than 250 million monthly users globally.

The duo’s breaking performances have led them to unmatched levels, with both of them taking the No. 1 position in two consecutive weeks on the Popular Indian Celebrities list. Their influence knows no bounds, as Aneet is at #64 and Panday is at #75 on the global top 100 most popular celebs list on IMDb. Saiyaara has been a huge hit, grossing over Rs. 500 crore at the international box office and becoming the second-grossing film of the year and the largest romantic film in Indian film history.

Ahaan Panday, who debuted grandly in Bollywood with Saiyaara, was thrilled to say this award is the first of his acting life and it is given directly by audiences makes it more special. “IMDb was a portal for me to lose myself into world cinema. To be mentioned on it, to be a part of it, to be honoured by it, and to know that I’m up there somewhere, would have been something that a 12-year-old on his box computer could never have fathomed, but always dreamed of,” he said.

Aneet Padda said she is pleased that Saiyaara and her acting have touched people across the globe. “I’m happy to have made people smile with an act that has connected with them. I’d like to dedicate my first award to all the cast and crew members of the film, to Adi sir and Mohit sir for believing in somebody like me, and to co-star Ahaan,” she continued. Both actors were grateful and thrilled about their upcoming projects, with Ahaan already anticipating his next film and Aneet waiting to develop more stories and characters.
