Saina Nehwal Biopic: Shraddha Kapoor Looks Convincing As Badminton Ace

Mumbai: After the super-successful Stree, Shraddha Kapoor is gearing up for her next which is a biopic on badminton player Saina Nehwal. The actress, who recently started shooting for the film, took to Twitter to share the first look from the movie.

In the picture captioned #SAINA, Shraddha looks every bit of the badminton ace. She is wearing a red and white sports t-shirt coupled with a navy blue skirt. Holding a badminton racquet in her hand, the ‘Aashiqui 2’ star sports with a victorious expression on her face.

In an interview, Shraddha confessed that she prepared hard and did a lot of research to portray the shuttler star effortlessly. As a part of her prep, she learnt badminton and even met Saina and her parents for tips and advice.

Notably, the untitled biopic finally went on floors on September 22 after a lot of delay. Produced by Bhushan Kumar of T-Series, the film is directed by Amol Gupte of Taare Zameen Par fame. The film is set to hit theatres in 2019.
