Mumbai: A special NDPS court in Mumbai has ordered the unfreezing of actress Rhea Chakraborty’s bank accounts and to return her electronic gadgets.

Rhea’s bank accounts were frozen by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) last year after she was arrested in the drug case related to Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput‘s death. Her brother along with over two dozen others, including alleged drug peddlers, were also arrested by the NCB.

Rhea and her brother have since been released on bail.

On June 14, 2020, Sushant Singh Rajput was found dead in his Mumbai apartment. As Sushant’s family has accused Rhea of allegedly abetting his suicide., the CBI is still separately probing the suicide charges against the actress.

During her first application regarding the unfreezing of her bank accounts, Rhea said that the NCB froze them without any reason. She then added to her statement that she needs the bank accounts to pay her taxes, take care of her younger brother, and support her lifestyle.
