Randeep Hooda keeps his promise: performs final ritual of Dalbir Kaur, Sarabjit Singh’s sister
Bollywood actor Randeep Hooda, who played the role of Sarabjit Singh in the biopic, has kept his promise to the convict’s sister- Dalbir Kaur.
Dalbir passed away today due to a heart attack. Hearing this news, Randeep immediately left Mumbai to perform the final rituals.
After the film’s release, Dalbir was so touched by Randeep’s performance that she could see her brother in the actor. Since then, both Randeep and Dalbir started to share a great bond together.
Their relationship was so pure that Dalbir even asked Randeep to give her ‘kandha’ when she dies (offer his shoulder before taking the body to the cremation).
Randeep promised her to be present at the funeral and he kept his promise today. However, he did not only give her ‘kandha’ but also lit the pyre.
The biopic, Sarbjit, was released in 2016 and marked one of Randeep Hooda’s extraordinary performances. The Omung Kumar directorial starred Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in the role of Dalbir Kaur.
