Ranbir Kapoor, Vaani Kapoor-starrer ‘Shamshera’ teaser out, film to release on July
Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor’s most awaited movie Shamshera is all set to release on July 22 this year. The makers of the film announced the new release date along with a brand new teaser of the movie featuring the Ranbir Kapoor, Vaani Kapoor and Sanjay Dutt.
Shamshera’ was earlier scheduled to hit the screens on March 18.
The announcement was made via a video on Yash Raj Films’ official Twitter handle and the caption read: “A legend will rise on 22nd July. Celebrate #Shamshera with #YRF50 only at a big screen near you. Releasing in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.”

The film is directed by Karan Malhotra and actor Sanjay Dutt plays the antagonist. It is a period drama film based on the setup of the pre-Independence era in the 1800s. It chronicles the story of a dacoit tribe fighting against the British for their rights and independence. The film is believed to be the Indian adaptation of Howard Pyle’s “Merry Adventures of Robin Hood.”
