Ranbir-Alia wedding: Date, Venue, Security and other details
B-Town’s most talked couple Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt are all set to tie the knot next week. Although the couple has yet not formally announced their wedding, they have dropped enough hints. As the big day draws close, RK Studios in Mumbai has been lit up for the pre-wedding festivities.

The countdown for the big day has began, and fans can hardly keep calm to see their favourite couple become husband and wife. Ranbir and Alia had been pretty tight lipped regarding their D-Day and its festivities. However, new details about their wedding has now surfaced, according to which the power couple’s wedding ceremony will have a super tight security.
As per the reports, the security for the big day includes special forces and 200 bouncers. Apparently, the planing for Ranbir and Alia’s wedding security arrangements has been going on for over a month. Alia’s brother Rahul Bhatt told to a leading news portal that ‘Yusuf Bhai,’ man with Mumbai’s best security force – 9/11 agency, has taken over the security of the star’s wedding ceremony.
Rahul also confirmed that 200 bouncers have been called from this agency and 10 boys from his team will also be sent.
He further shared that RK Studios and Ranbir’s Vastu residence in Bandra will also be surrounded by heavy security. There will also be drones, which will be kept as countermeasures, and Roving Patrol Officers will be with each guest. Rahul concluded his statement by saying that as a brother he too will be looking over the security arrangements.
Reportedly, Ranbir and Alia are having a private and intimate wedding with only close friends and family. The grand wedding will take place at Ranbir’s Bandra residence, Vaastu, on April 15. However, their wedding festivities will begin on April 13 with a mehendi function. Followed by it, haldi and sangeet ceremonies has been dated for April 14.
It is to be noted that although the wedding will take place at the Barfi actor’s house, the pre-wedding festivities and Cocktail will happen at RK Studios.
According to the reports, Ranbir’s mother Neetu Kapoor has flown in special chefs from Delhi and Lucknow to prepare an array of cuisines like Italian, Mexican, Punjabi, Mughalai and more for the wedding. Special Delhi chat, biryanis and kebabs along with 25 vegan and vegetarian dishes will be available for guests.
Ranbir and Alia will be tying the nuptial knot during the early hours of April 16 between 2 AM to 4 AM. According to a report by Pinkvilla, the logic behind choosing this date happens to be Rishi Kapoor, Neetu Kapoor and Ranbir Kapoor’s obsession with the number 8.
The bride and groom has reportedly chosen Manish Malhotra and Sabyasachi as their wedding outfit designers.
Wedding guests list includes A-listers like Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Varun Dhawan, Ayan Mukerji, Zoya Akhtar, Arjun Kapoor, Masaba Gupta, Karan Johar, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Saif Ali Khan among others.
The actors will be hosting a grand reception by the end of April, and the guest list for the that has celebs like Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone, Karan Johar, Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Aditya Chopra, Arjun Kapoor, Shah Rukh Khan among other in it. Media reports suggest that, Alia and Ranbir are likely to have the reception on April 17 at Taj Mahal Palace in Mumbai.
According to a report by India Today, after wrapping up all the functions, the star couple might leave for South Africa for their honeymoon.
