Ram Charan’s cousin Niharika Konidela arrested by police after drug-bust raid at pub

Tollywood star Ram charan’s cousin and south actress Niharika Konidela was arrested by police after a drug-bust raid at a pub on Sunday morning. She was there with singer Rahul Sipligunj, they both had been partying at the pub situated in Hyderabad’s in Banjara Hills.

Reportedly, police detained almost 150 people including Niharika and Rahul at the party. Apparently, drugs were found at the pub and reports also claim that the party went on long after the closing hours.

After hours of being under custody, Niharika was finally released.

According to a report by Hyderabad Times, there wee a lot of VIPs too, and they all have been reportedly served notice. “Around 150 people were partying at a pub last night. The pub doesn’t have permission to operate post-midnight. A singer and actress were among those detained as a prohibited substance was found on the premises. We are still interrogating and are yet to file an FIR. More details will be revealed soon,” said a top cop at the Banjara Hills police station.

A few hours after her release, Niharika’s father Naga Babu released a statement saying that Niharika was in the clear. He further said that police have taken action against the pub for running the party after allowed hours, but they informed him that she did not do anything wrong. Seems like Naga Babu issued the clarification rumours start spreading. “She was detained for being there. I am giving this clarification so as not to allow speculations. Our conscience is very clear. I request not to spread unwanted speculations,” he said in his message.
