Rajnikanth’s 2.0 Creates History; Collects Over Rs. 400 Crore In 4 Days

Mumbai: Akshay Kumar and Tamil megastar Rajinikanth much-awaited film 2.0 hit the theatres on Thursday. During the extended weekend, the film has raked in huge numbers that have surprised everyone including the makers of the film.

Made on a budget of over Rs 500 crores, 2.0 features some world-class VFX in it. Whether it is Akshay’s look or Rajinikanth’s costume and the CG, the time, money and effort that went into the filming of this project was rather massive. 2.0 has become the highest grossing South Indian film at the US box-office leaving behind the collections of blockbusters like Baahubali and Kabali.

In terms of box office collection, the film has collected over 95 crore in just four days. Similarly, the Telugu version has raked in Rs 52 crore, while the Tamil version has collected around Rs 60 crore. The final box office collection (including overseas business) has been put up at a whopping Rs 400 crores in just 4 days.
