Mumbai: Post the success of Stree, actor Rajkummar Rao is on cloud nine. The actor is basking in the all the appreciation which he has been receiving for the horror comedy. Touted as one of the most promising and talented actors in the current milieu, Rajkummar has an interesting line-up of films in the near future viz. Ek Ladki Ko Dekha To Aisa Laga, Mental Hai Kya, Made In China and 5 Weddings.
And if latest reports are anything to go by, then he might also star in the sequel to the 2008 film Dostana which starred Abhisekh Bachchan, John Abraham and Priyanka Chopra. Rumours are doing the round that the versatile actor has been approached to play the lead in Dostana 2.
The film is being helmed by Colin D’Cunha who worked as an assitant and produced by Dharma Production. A couple of days back, it was reported that Janhvi Kapoor and Sidharth Malhotra have been approached to star in Dostana 2. However, Karan Johar clarified through a twitter post that these rumours are baseless.
Although Rajkummar has been offered the project, there is no official confirmation whether he has signed the dotted line or not. Furthermore, the makers are yet to finalise the second lead and the actress for the sequel.
