Puneeth Rajkumar’s last rites to perform today, after his daughter returns from US

Kannada superstar Puneeth Rajkumar died after suffering from cardiac arrest on Friday morning. His last rites are likely to be performed today, after his daughter returns from the US.

The 46-year-old actor complained of chest pain yesterday morning and was then immediately admitted to Vikram hospital for treatment.

The actor’s sudden death has left his fans in shock, and they have been finding it hard to believe. The mortal remains of the actor are currently at Kantheerava Stadium for the public to pay its respects.

The Karnataka government has ensured that all the arrangements regarding his last rights are carried out properly. The order issued, also claims that Puneeth’s mortal remains will be put to rest beside the grave of his father, the legendary actor of Kannada cinema Dr Rajkumar in Bengaluru.

As per the reports, the family is waiting for his daughter Vanditha to return from the US by today.

Moreover, just like his father the superstar continues to lead by example even in death by donating his eyes. Dr Rajkumar pledged back in 1994 that his entire family will donate their eyes after death. The family continues to keep his words alive.

He had appeared as a lead actor in a number of commercially successful films including Appu (2002), Abhi (2003), Veera Kannadiga (2004), Mourya (2004), Aakash (2005), Ajay (2006), Arasu (2007), Milana (2007), Vamshi (2008), Raam (2009), Jackie (2010), Hudugaru (2011), Raajakumara (2017), and Anjani Putra (2017).

Puneeth began his career as a child artist and even won the National Film Award for Best Child Artist for his performance in Bettada Hoovu in 1985. He won the Karnataka State Award for Best Child Artist for his performances in Chalisuva Modagalu and Yeradu Nakshatragalu.

Many actors and celebrities are mourning the loss of the Kannada superstar Puneeth Rajkumar.
